One lonely Friday night…
If there were any place that I would have to recommend for a wonderful lunch, and the most astounding array of desserts and coffee, it would have to be the Block 1912 on Whyte avenue. For those of you who have never been- GO THERE! You will not be disappointed. And considering my wonderful company yesterday, I cannot think of any place I would rather have spent my Friday afternoon. To be a little more precise, Murasaki and I had a delightful 3 hour chat and carefully paced luncheon that will never be forgotten. The warm toned decor and comfortable chairs were the haven that my stress-wracked body had been crying for .
Unfortunately, all good things must meet their end, and so the two of us bid farewell on the train, and I proceeded home for a long long long night of studying alone. At roughly nine a squeek at the door signalled the return of the near-bronchitis plagued roomie, I really hope she gets better soon (although her brief visit this morning did show promising improvement in her health- just don’t push yourself and try to go to kendo, you’ll just prolong the sick period).
A pleasant phonecall while reading brought the perfect finish to a wonderful, if not a little over study-filled day.
I understand that this is by far the least amusing of posts, and digressing onto today’s continued studies and homemade carrot&cumin soup is the last any reader would want to see, but it is an honest attempt to keep this blog up and running.
Although I am certain that I will have more than enough of that to do at the restaurant tonight…
