The long awaited post
While these past few days have mainly consisted of my avoiding studying for hours on end and drifting about on the roller coaster of emotions, I will attempt to transcribe the highlights.
For starters, my roomie and I have officially implemented the month of self bettering and improvement- and excellent transition into spring if you ask me~ With a ritual exercise program (jogging at least 4 times a week with roomie and whenever I can squeeze it in on my own), and fresh vegetables and fruits squeeking their way into the grocery stores, I am eagerly anticipating the sunny days to come. I think I will be treating myself to a hair makeover when this month is over (thereby the term). Sometimes I feel that we women need nothing more than a full physical makeover to give ourselves a relatively fresh slate to open a new stage in our lives… that and I always felt that after a relationship change, I need a refresher…
In other news, Ana and I also giggled our way through a cosplay themed day with every intention to traumatize a certain lit. prof… while the outcome was less than successful, it was the experience that left me feeling giggly. That and the pictures are somewhat comical:
I hope these show up…
And lastly, with the end of the term coming up so come group projects… in other words, my Japanese final project due date is creeping eerily close, and so I really needed to start on my research. Having decided that I am intending on presenting on my Japanese band friends, and such the Japanese music industry, I needed to email the guys in Japan and ask them for some information. However, my not wanting to impose made me less than active in emailing… but to my surprise, I open my email inbox to find that~ U-kiss had emailed me! And with super hot pictures as well~ So I was more than excited to email him back with my request.
Happy day!
But I’ve gotta rush to catch the bus here now… see you all later cats!
Elya
Aw, the pictures I took didn’t show up, after all.
I’m just glad I could contribute to the caper in a small way. The fact that you and Ana came up with the idea to bring cosplay into the classroom, all on your own, gives me faith that you’ll be able to continue the legacy after I’m gone. *sniff, sniff*
Unless of course, we all end up in Japan. In that case we’ll have an entire year to become even more strange than we were to begin with, then return to loose our penchant for the ridiculous upon one or two unsuspecting MA programmes…

| Posted 3 years, 7 months agoYeah, it’s kind of too bad that I was feeling so lousy, but I still ended up having a great time.
I managed to take a cruise by the UBC site over the weekend and I’m currently armed with questions and information… it’s just a matter of figuring out how to go see everyone in and amongst the madness which is final papers/group presentations.
Maybe we can get together sometime next week? Akiko was telling me about the proposition for a movie night, and I’d certainly be game.
Have a great week, ne. Mine will be a success if I come out of the other side alive. (Darn English papers… むしろ日本文学について書いている...*grumble, grumble*)
