While these past few days have mainly consisted of my avoiding studying for hours on end and drifting about on the roller coaster of emotions, I will attempt to transcribe the highlights.

For starters, my roomie and I have officially implemented the month of self bettering and improvement- and excellent transition into spring if you ask me~ With a ritual exercise program (jogging at least 4 times a week with roomie and whenever I can squeeze it in on my own), and fresh vegetables and fruits squeeking their way into the grocery stores, I am eagerly anticipating the sunny days to come. I think I will be treating myself to a hair makeover when this month is over (thereby the term). Sometimes I feel that we women need nothing more than a full physical makeover to give ourselves a relatively fresh slate to open a new stage in our lives… that and I always felt that after a relationship change, I need a refresher…

In other news, Ana and I also giggled our way through a cosplay themed day with every intention to traumatize a certain lit. prof… while the outcome was less than successful, it was the experience that left me feeling giggly. That and the pictures are somewhat comical:

I hope these show up…

And lastly, with the end of the term coming up so come group projects… in other words, my Japanese final project due date is creeping eerily close, and so I really needed to start on my research. Having decided that I am intending on presenting on my Japanese band friends, and such the Japanese music industry, I needed to email the guys in Japan and ask them for some information. However, my not wanting to impose made me less than active in emailing… but to my surprise, I open my email inbox to find that~ U-kiss had emailed me! And with super hot pictures as well~ So I was more than excited to email him back with my request.

Happy day!

But I’ve gotta rush to catch the bus here now… see you all later cats!

With the bass speaker blaring classics in my ear it is difficult to employ a unique and captivating tone in writing this long neglected entry, especially when classics are the foundations upon which the word clitche came into our society, and so I apologize ahead of time for any confusion in my writing. Of course, an apology is due to my minute but faithful audience. I realize that I had proposed to actually post regularily, but this week has been beyond hectic. To be honest, my time would be best employed in studying right now, but I have found myself to be quite productive in the early mornings, so I shall postpone studying until tomorrow. That and the fact that I have already finished editing my Write paper takes a load off of my shoulders.

Well, I suppose I should start by saying my “meet the parents” hurdle this past Sunday was barely a speed bump. I had a great time, and according to the judging committee I passed with flying colours. Next is just to reverse the situation and put the other half into the hot seat… although the mother is far easier to please than the facist dictator my father claims himself to be. So we shall go pebble by pebble for the time being.

The next noteworthy of events would have to be today’s meeting with my WRITE professor. You see, this past Tuesday our entire class was confronted by a stylish yet composed woman who announced that, despite it being late into the second term, she would be taking our instructor’s place from here on in. She proceeded to propose one on one meetings with her, and scheduled them for next week accordingly. Knowing my own tendancies to procrastinate, I went today of all days.

Surprisingly enough, I found out that she was thrilled with the quality of my current piece, and sees an exciting future for my writing. She was very encouraging, and I found her to treat me with a great deal of respect- so much so that we proceeded to discuss strategies for changing the class from here on in as near equals. Needless to say, the inspiration I received from this meeting left me more than eager to get right to editing my essay… although I apparently had nothing to worry about beyond some small “surface errors” (*cough* grammar errors *cough*).

My other half is what the last section of this entry shall cover. One fateful Tuesday afternoon, after a proposal to meet on Friday was accompanied by planning around a “surprise” came from my other half, I was confounded and left with question after question… what could it be? The last “surprise” had been an absolutely lovely trip to the theatre, I was beyond lost in my curious guessing game.

Imagine my surprise when we arrange to meet a the LRT station and board the train heading Northbound from downtown. Unfortunate for the planner, our stop arrived and an excited seven year old spoiled the surprise.

”The Circus!”

I had never been to the circus, and only a few days back I had seen a poster on an LRT station door but paid little heed to it. For my first circus I would say it was lovely. I spent the entire night remembering passage after well written passage from gyspy fantasy literature, that and holding hands with my proudly grinning hunny.

I would proceed to repeat the program of the event, but that would be tedious, and I doubt anyone who is reading has yet to experience the circus as I have. He and I did, however, make our way back to my condo and, while sipping a green tea, went through my write paper together. I really do respect his opinions with regards to my writing, and I was happy to hear his input… that and snuggling up on the sofa in front of the blazing gas fire was a very enjoyable way to both approach the writing, and end a wonderful night on the town.

Well, I hope that makes up for my lack of dedication here, and I will do my best to refrain from apologizing too much… by actually posting that is.

Good night my sweet hearts~

If there were any place that I would have to recommend for a wonderful lunch, and the most astounding array of desserts and coffee, it would have to be the Block 1912 on Whyte avenue. For those of you who have never been- GO THERE! You will not be disappointed. And considering my wonderful company yesterday, I cannot think of any place I would rather have spent my Friday afternoon. To be a little more precise, Murasaki and I had a delightful 3 hour chat and carefully paced luncheon that will never be forgotten. The warm toned decor and comfortable chairs were the haven that my stress-wracked body had been crying for .

Unfortunately, all good things must meet their end, and so the two of us bid farewell on the train, and I proceeded home for a long long long night of studying alone. At roughly nine a squeek at the door signalled the return of the near-bronchitis plagued roomie, I really hope she gets better soon (although her brief visit this morning did show promising improvement in her health- just don’t push yourself and try to go to kendo, you’ll just prolong the sick period).

A pleasant phonecall while reading brought the perfect finish to a wonderful, if not a little over study-filled day.

I understand that this is by far the least amusing of posts, and digressing onto today’s continued studies and homemade carrot&cumin soup is the last any reader would want to see, but it is an honest attempt to keep this blog up and running.

Although I am certain that I will have more than enough of that to do at the restaurant tonight…

Once upon a cold and chilly morn, there was a princess, and she was by far the fairest and most determined princess of them all… She had ever so graciously bestowed her most precious of alarm clocks upon her dear mother the widowed queen, and thus was left with the most disfunctional of alarm clocks to be found. But this princess was not one to complain, at least not until one fated morning when the alarm clock took it upon itself to not wakeher up at the arranged 5:30 bell, and left her to peacefully sleep until she naturally woke up at 7:25…

Shit!!!

To be long winded, that was the start of what was to unravel to be a moderately hectic day. Although I would like to take a moment to brag about how I was able to fully assemble myself within the span of 20 minutes (a task that I had deemed near impossible beforehand), and be on the 7:55 bus to the University. I took to doing the forbidden (buying breakfast out of the house), and also contented myself with purchasing lunch in between classes.

Last night I found myself sick with a sore stomach and headache from the stress of studying and worrying about today’s impending Japanese Unit Quiz, but I believe it went rather well. I honestly worked myself up way too much for this exam, which is not something I find myself often doing. The following relief was amplified however, after having taken the surprisingly easy test. And so one stress was put out with relatively little effort on my behalf, although I am definitely going to start using my day planner more actively from here on in to keep track of these deadlines.

Nothing really interesting happened otherwise however… the only really newsworthy thing is my renewed determination to revive my recasting from the beginning. I have yet to review my journal from the past few weeks, but I am aware of the items I am having in excess, and I have planned out my methods for tackling these little nuisances.

Anyways, off to bed now. Good night and sweet dreams~

I pray to whatever deity happens to be up there that my posts will not all be headed by the key memorable food elements that I just so happened to consume, but we will have to see how this develops as I am still rather new to this whole blogging experience.

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to go for a wonderful coffee outing with Murasaki at a lovely little side street french family run cafe. While it was a bit of a stress wind down for the both of us, it turned out leaving me feel well socialized and thoroughly content.(There is really no need to worry about imposing Murasaki dear, I had a great time and only wish we could do this more often). We both ordered variations of wonderfully layered caramel latte, mine of course was soy, and as a side we each picked a nice -slightly under ripe- piece of fruit which we cut on our own little plates as we sat on high stool/chairs on a quaint little elevated table. It was really nice and the atmosphere was lovely. I really like the idea of having found a tiny cafe that no one really knows about- it keeps it small, and personal, so that there is no threat of conglomerate overtake and quality reduction. That lasted for roughly two hours though, and having bid farewell to Murasaki, I made my way home on the crowded bus to await the arrival of my own “prince” so to speak.

The horrid weather delayed his reply, but after my run in with finding how to turn on the heat, and cuddling up in front of the fire, we made our way to rent a movie.

It was a really nice relaxing night, as we watched Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and then snuggled and “pillow-talked” well into the wee hours of the morning. And promptly at seven in the morning, I leapt out of bed and quickly prepared for breakfast. Unfortunately, roomie darling was feeling dreadful (I hope with all my will that you begin to feel a little better sweet), but we managed to coordinate ourselves fairly well in the kitchen.

I then set about the homely task of making French toast for myself and Jonathan, and preparing the *cough cough* frozen berries for topping. I then steamed some soy milk, and he with his vanilla hot chocolate, and me with my misto coffee, we sat down for a lovely chatty Wednesday morning breakfast~

First of all, I would like to welcome you all to my fresh, and still developing blog.

I understand that I have been less than active in my social life, and so many of the people around me have come to realize that I have disappeared into a dark void of sorts. Which is precisely why I am starting this blog. Hopefully it will hold out a little longer than my prior feeble attempts at internet journals.

Well, for starters, I would just like to say that I am comfortable and quite settled into my new condo. Not that it comes as any surprise, seeing as I was pretty much settled in a week and a half ago. I still have crowds of you that have yet to come and see the new place, and I have been meaning to host a tea here one of these days, so it should all unravel soon enough.

Well, while I would like to write out the “fun fun fun” which was last night, I am writing to stall studying and whatnot (something I have been avoiding this whole week), and so I shall bid thee all adieu~
